HR forms in general can make your life easier, and candidate quizzes can help you make decisions!<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>A few suggestions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><b>Get focused<\/b>: Be very clear on the requirements of this position so that your questions are all relevant. Sure, they\u2019re easy to score, but why would you include dozens of math questions for a writing position? <\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Narrow it down<\/b>: Maybe you want candidates to feel a bit of pressure, but a super-long test might be too much. Instead, include a shorter list of key items and set the timer to keep things fair.<\/li>\n<li><b>Know what you\u2019re looking for<\/b>: Are you only looking at technical skills, or are you looking for problem solving? Do you want people who can choose the best option from a list or who can make up a solution on their own? Are there any soft skills you\u2019d like to uncover, or any clues into someone\u2019s personality?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve made some decisions, start your questions! Again, yours will vary based on the position, but here are a few ideas to get you started:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><b>Editing Skills<\/b>: <\/b>Choose the correct example(s) from the sentences below.<\/li>\n<li><b style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal;\"><b>Technical Skills: <\/b><\/b>Which of the HTML codes given below would bold the word BOLD?<\/li>\n<li><b><b>Subject Knowledge: <\/b><\/b>Which of the definitions below best describes HIPAA?<\/li>\n<li><b><b>Critical Thinking: <\/b><\/b>Choose a word below to fill in the blank in this analogy:<\/li>\n<li><b><b>Problem Solving: <\/b><\/b>Identify the steps you would take to address the following issue:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a written format, it\u2019s sometimes easier to drill down into details than in a conversation. Even the most experienced interviewers sometimes get a bit off track, and there are some skills that are better shown than explained.
