While you can add these links or CTAs on other parts of your website, you should not add them to your registration page.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Another UX tip: minimize the number of fields on your sign-up form as much as possible.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Yes, from your perspective, you\u2019d want to gather as much information about your attendees as possible, so that you can get a sense of whether they\u2019d be a hot\/warm\/cold lead, and see whether you can potentially convert them as a customer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>However, from your attendees\u2019 point of view, filling out a long form with plenty of fields is mildly annoying at best, and a deal-breaker at worst.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Bottom line? A long form can definitely be off-putting, so only add as many fields as necessary. There are other ways to collect information from your attendees later, such as conducting on-site <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/blog\/the-power-of-polls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">polling<\/a> during the event itself.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2>5. Promote, promote, promote<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s a numbers game: The more you promote your event, the more views you get on your page. Again, we recommend creating a banner for them. Be sure to add their headshot and name within the banner &#8211; they\u2019ll be more likely to share this, as opposed to a generic event banner that doesn\u2019t mention their name.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2>6. Convey a sense of urgency<\/h2>\n<p>Have you ever seen those countdown timers on Ecommerce stores, the ones that count down to when a mega sale ends? If you\u2019re using a WordPress website, there are plenty of plugins that allow you to add a customizable countdown timer to your page in no time.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>If that\u2019s too salesy for your taste, you can opt for a softer approach by just updating your registration page as it gets closer to your event.
