Meanwhile, the working world is changing; employees need to adapt to the shifting landscape by highlighting that they have the skills for future jobs.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2>Top 2024 job-specific skills<\/h2>\n<p>Many voices weigh in with predictions of the top job-specific skills we\u2019ll see each year. We\u2019ve reviewed several round-ups to share the overlap.<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Professional networking site LinkedIn annually reviews its own data to rank the most in-demand skills. In its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/business\/talent\/blog\/talent-strategy\/linkedin-most-in-demand-hard-and-soft-skills\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 survey<\/a> of 1 billion members across 200 regions and countries, the company emphasized the pace of change. They found &#8220;over the last 12 months, members have added 680 million skills to their profiles, up\u202f80% year-over-year.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"div-minispacer\"><\/div>\n<p>The number one skill for LinkedIn? Communication, which also ranks on other lists. Unsurprisingly, the job skill also turned up in other predictions.
