Column Display

Scrolling through a long list of answer options in a survey could be annoying for your participants. In many cases, longer lists of answer options will be hidden in Drop Down or other question types. However, if you have decided that you need to display all answer options on the page, use columns. Arranging longer lists of answer options into multiple columns ensures that respondents can review choices quickly and easily. This also helps optimize the space on survey pages.

Follow the steps listed below to split answer options into multiple columns:

1. Create a survey or edit an existing survey.
2. Navigate to the question, then hover over the question text and click on Edit.
3. In the panel on the left, select the number of columns in which you want to display the answer options.
4. Save, then preview to confirm your display choice.
