Want to know more about your website itself? Pop up a Website Feedback Survey to help you gather insights and find ways to improve each visitor\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases, it doesn\u2019t make sense to display your survey to every single visitor every single time. Whether you\u2019d like to collect feedback at certain intervals, in certain languages, or through certain devices, embedding a pop-up makes it easy to determine when and how your survey will be displayed. Plus, embedding a pop-up takes up less space on your site and draws visitors\u2019 attention to encourage participation.<\/p>\n<p>The platform provides you two Intercept options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Embed Pop-up:<\/strong> Choose Embed Pop-up if you\u2019d like to control when and how your pop-up is displayed<\/li>\n<li><strong> Website Feedback Survey:<\/strong> Choose Website Feedback Survey to encourage ongoing visitor feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"section-4\">Embed Pop-up<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Select Intercept from the publish page and then click on Embed Pop-up.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage feedback from website visitors, toggle on the <strong>Feedback Prompt<\/strong> option. Enabling this feature will prompt website visitors with a message to provide feedback. You will have the ability to customize both the content and appearance of the pop-up messaging.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Embed-Popup.png\" \/><\/li>\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">You cannot open the survey in a new window if the feedback prompt is disabled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<li>Select the width of the prompt to display: Regular, Large, Extra Large, or Custom. As needed, adjust the height of the prompt, either in pixels or percentage. By default, the maximum height of the prompt will be 580px.<\/li>\n<li>Customize the text, style, and color of the prompt buttons on your website by utilizing the <strong>Pop-up Button Settings<\/strong>. This allows you to match the buttons seamlessly with your website&#8217;s design.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Pop-up-button-Settings.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Additionally, you can choose to display the survey in a new window or within a pop-up by selecting the option <strong>Would you like to open the survey as a pop-up?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the width of the pop-up to display: Regular, Large, Extra Large, or Custom. As needed, adjust the height of the pop-up, either in pixels or percentage. By default, the maximum height of the pop-up will be 580px.<\/li>\n<li>You may choose to customize the header that appears on the prompt and pop-up. As needed, enable the toggle and enter your text and chosen color.<\/li>\n<li>Click Advanced Settings if you\u2019d like to:\n<ul>\n<li>Configure <strong>Delayed participation settings<\/strong> by choosing when to display the survey pop-up if the participant closes a pop-up, closes the feedback prompt, or selects Later. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Customize transitions<\/strong> for the feedback prompt and survey pop-up.<\/li>\n<li>Use <strong>Position<\/strong> to decide where on the page the prompt and pop-up should appear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Advance-Settings-popup.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Preview your choices through the example view on the right. This display is based on the available space and does not provide an exact view of how your choices will be reflected on your own site.<\/li>\n<li>When you are satisfied with your choices, click Continue.<\/li>\n<li>On Continue, you will see the option to customize the display conditions for your pop-up. If your survey contains pre-populated questions, you can select the <strong>Capture Website Data<\/strong> option.  This enables the capture of customer data using the below mentioned website parameters:\n<ul>\n<li>Cookie<\/li>\n<li>HTML ID<\/li>\n<li>Local Storage<\/li>\n<li>Page Variables<\/li>\n<p>For each value to be pre-populated, enter the name of the relevant cookie.<br \/>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span><br \/>\nBased on the below selection, Q2 will be pre-populated with the value of the cookie named Cust_ID.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Capture-Cookies.png\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span>\n  <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>When your conditions are ready, click <strong>Generate Code.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li> Once the code is generated, copy this code and embed it in your website.\n<li>After pasting the embed code, click on <strong>Done<\/strong> to complete the publishing process. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Website Feedback Survey<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Select Intercept from the publish page and then click Website Feedback Survey. <\/li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Website-Feedback-Survey.png\"> <\/p>\n<li>Choose whether to display an icon or a button as a prompt. <\/li>\n<li>Customize the icon or button.<\/li>\n<li>Select the width of the pop-up to display: Regular, Large, Extra Large, or Custom. Adjust the height of the pop-up, either in pixels or percentage. Publish the link on your website or blog, include it in a newsletter, or send via email.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select your project, then click on the Publish icon.<\/li>\n<li>Under Embed\/Links, select Shareable Links\/QR Codes.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Shareable-Links-QR-Codes.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>To generate a new link, choose Create New URL.<\/li>\n<li>Enter a description of the URL. A description is especially important if you have multiple URLs posted in different places. A clear description will allow you to differentiate between the two published links.<\/li>\n<li>You can also customize your URL by appending the text of your choice to the end of the URL. <\/li>\n<li>If you\u2019d like to restrict your participants, check your preferred option(s):\n<ul>\n<li>Block by IP address<\/li>\n<li>Block by Cookies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once you have the right settings in place, click on Generate.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have generated the link, you can now copy or download the QR code.<\/li>\n<li>To use a link already created for this project, choose Use Previously Generated URL and you\u2019ll see a list of all URLs for this project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"section-2\">Embed<\/h2>\n<p>Embedding a survey or form on your website\/mobile app allows you to collect responses from website visitors without interrupting their browsing experience or sending them away from your site.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select your project, then click on the Publish icon.<\/li>\n<li>Under Embed\/Links, select Embed.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Embed-Option-Select.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Sogolytics provides embedding options for your website and mobile app. Under Select Embedding Option, choose one of the following options:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Embed-Options.png\"\/><\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style: lower-alpha;\">\n<li><strong>Embed Survey on a Website <\/strong>allows you to integrate a survey into a Web page.\n<ol style=\"list-style: lower-roman;\">\n<li>Proceed by clicking on Continue.<\/li>\n<li>Display Setting lets you control the height and width for your embedded survey and based on the design and target resolution of your web page.
