You can customize the SMS Templates in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sogolytics.com\/help\/invitation-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Invitation Templates<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Customize-SMS-Template-Wizard.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>You can see the demonstration of the selected template in this Wizard. Here you can edit the Sender Identity. You can also Reset this template which will reset the SMS message to system default.\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Totals may vary based on character count. A total SMS character count includes the content, sender identity, and unsubscribe message. For a message up to 250 characters, 1 SMS will be deducted from the account. For messages that exceed 250 characters, 2 SMS will be deducted. For messages that exceed 320 characters, 3 SMS will be deducted.\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>On Continue, you will be directed to \u201cSelect Contacts Source\u201d wizard. Select your preferred link type as Single Use Link.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Select-Contacts-Source.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Next, choose your preferred source from the following options:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Directory:<\/strong> This option allows you to send invitations to Contacts in an existing Directory. You may also use this option to seek feedback for a specific Activity. To learn more about sending invites using Directory, <a>click here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type Manually:<\/strong> Type or copy\/paste phone numbers directly. This option is ideal if you are sending invitations to a small audience or if you don\u2019t have an existing file. Up to 200 phone numbers may be entered at once, separated by commas or line breaks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>From a File:<\/strong> Upload a list of contacts in .txt, .csv, .xls, or .xlsx format. The file may not exceed 9 MB and it must include mobile numbers in the first column. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/help\/file-formats-accepted-for-email-invitation-lists\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read more about supported file formats<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>From a List:<\/strong> Select a List you have built under Contact Lists. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/help\/how-to-create-email-address-lists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Learn how<\/a> to build a Contact List.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once you have selected the source, map the column in which Mobile Numbers are present with the Mobile Number Field.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Map-Mobile-Number-Field.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>If you have selected File or List, you will get an option to select the Sample size. When enabled, you will see the below two options:\n<ul>\n<li>Draw random Sample from all eligible contacts: This option allows you to select a random sample size based on <strong>Number<\/strong> or <strong>Percentage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Selected mobile numbers: This option allows you to select the sample size based on the selected <strong>Mobile Numbers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In case you haven&#8217;t added any county codes to your Mobile numbers, you can use the \u201cAdd Country Code\u201d option. This option allows you to automatically add a country code to all your numbers.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Add-Country-Code.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Under Additional Publishing Options, you may choose to select more advanced features:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Additional-Publishing-Options.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/help\/touch-rules-how-and-when\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Touch Rules<\/a>:<\/strong> Touch Rules makes it easy to avoid over-surveying by filtering out those who have recently participated, eliminating survey fatigue.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/help\/sending-pre-populated-invitations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pre-populate Survey<\/a>:<\/strong> This option will be pre-selected if pre-population is applied on one or more questions in your survey. You may select the values to be pre-filled for these questions on this step.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If Pre-Population is used in your project, the distribution wizard will include corresponding next steps. Depending on your distribution method, responses may be entered manually or by mapping columns.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Pre-Population-Wizard.png\" \/><a href=\"\/help\/sending-pre-populated-invitations\/\">Learn more<\/a> about pre-populated invitations.<\/li>\n<li>Any answer mismatches or blanks can be downloaded and reviewed in the next step. Click continue.<\/li>\n<li>You will then be directed to the Send\/Schedule Invitations Wizard. Here you will see the count of the total number of Invitations and the total number of SMS which will be deducted from your account balance. If your selected source is either Directory or Contact list, you can also opt to schedule automated reminders for SMS invitations.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Send-Schedule-Invitations.png\" \/>\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Totals may vary based on character count. A total SMS character count includes the content, sender identity, and unsubscribe message. For a message up to 250 characters, 1 SMS will be deducted from the account. For messages that exceed 250 characters, 2 SMS will be deducted. For messages that exceed 320 characters, 3 SMS will be deducted.\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>You also have the option to set Invitation Expiration Options:<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Invitation-Expiration-Options.png\" \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Set invitations to expire at intervals based on hours, days, weeks, or months from the original invitation.<\/li>\n<li>Use this feature when the project will remain active but the invitation should not.<\/li>\n<li>Expiration dates can be viewed and modified from Track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Finally, once everything is set, you can choose to send invitations immediately by selecting Send Now or schedule them by choosing Schedule for Later.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--SMS SEND SECTION BEGIN\n \t\n\n<li>Next, customize your message.\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style: lower-alpha;\">\n \t\n\n<li>SMS content: You can customize the SMS message here.\n\n\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i>\n\n\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">The survey link code \u201c<<SMS URL>>\u201d can be moved but cannot be modified. In the invitation, this code will automatically be replaced by the survey link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Sender Identity: This is a mandatory field that must include the name of the sender, which will be shown after the SMS message.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Unsubscribe message: This is a non-editable field and includes unsubscribe instructions that will be shown at the end of the SMS invitation.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>You may choose to set this as the default message for all future invitations and reminders.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>The SMS will include your content, sender identity, and the default unsubscribe prompt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i>\n\n\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Totals may vary based on character count. A total SMS character count includes the content, sender identity, and unsubscribe message. For a message up to 160 characters, 1 SMS will be deducted from the account. For messages that exceed 160 characters, 2 SMS will be deducted. For longer messages, 1 SMS will be deducted for every 160 characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Proceed by clicking Continue.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li> You may choose to Send Now or Set up a Recurring schedule for your Project.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li> Options Include:\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li>Daily: Identify the time for invitations to be sent every day.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Weekly: Choose both the time and day of the week for weekly delivery. Click on the plus icon to add more days.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Monthly: Choose both the date and time for monthly delivery. Click on the plus icon to add more dates.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Yearly: Choose the month, date, and time for annual delivery. Click on the plus icon to add more.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Custom: Set custom rules with a combination of any of the above options.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Schedule the delivery Start Date and End Date.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>If you want to send invitations to a specific subset of contacts, enable Contact Selection Criteria. You have two methods of filtering contacts using this option:\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li>Send only to contacts (Added\/Updated\/Added or Updated) since last distribution: Will send invites only to the contacts which are newly added or updated or added\/updated. It won\u2019t send invites to those records which are unchanged from the last distribution.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Send only to contacts with the current date in selected\u202fcolumn(s): Will send invites only when the dates added in the mapped columns matches the distribution date.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Click Send Now<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\nSMS SEND SECTION END--><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-2\">Sending SMS and Email Invitations<\/h2>\n<p>To encourage participation, you may choose to send a contact both an email and an SMS invitation simultaneously. In order to use this option, you\u2019ll need both a mobile number and an email address for each contact. Sending through this method delivers the same single-use link in both invitations, so participants can only respond through either the SMS or email invitation.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Select your project, then click on the Publish icon.<\/li>\n<li>Under the Email column, select Email + SMS.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Email-SMS-Selection.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>In Select Email Message, review the Email Templates created under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/help\/how-to-customize-survey-email-message\/\">Invitation Templates<\/a>.\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Once sent\/scheduled, the email message cannot be changed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Hover over your chosen template, then choose one of the following options:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Invitation-Selection.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select: Choose a template and proceed to publishing<\/li>\n<li>Edit: Review and edit a message before publishing<\/li>\n<li>Preview: Preview a message to confirm your choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you\u2019ve chosen to edit the template, complete and save any changes before continuing. You can also embed a question from the project by enabling Embed a Question from the menu on the left and selecting the question you want to embed. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sogolytics.com\/help\/how-to-embed-a-question-in-email-invitations\/\">Learn more<\/a> about how to embed a question in your email message.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Embed-a-Question.png\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Only Radio Button, Rating Scale, Smiley Rating Scale, Like\/Dislike, and NPS questions can be embedded in invitations. In addition, CSAT and CES questions can be embedded in CX project invitations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once you have selected your email template, the wizard to select the SMS template will appear.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Customize-SMS-Template-Wizard.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>In the &#8216;Source of Email Addresses&#8217; wizard, select your preferred link type: Single-Use or Multi-Use Link.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Single-Use-Link.png\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Next, choose your preferred source from the following:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Directory:<\/strong> This option allows you to send invitations to Contacts in an existing Directory. This will be used for both the original email invitations and the reminder email invitations.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Mail-Merge-Selection.png\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Reminder Options:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Schedule-Reminders.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can choose to send reminders to non-participants at automatic intervals, with different Email Message for each, as desired.<\/li>\n<li>Choose to schedule reminders at intervals based on hours, days, weeks, or months from the original invitation date.<\/li>\n<li>Scheduled reminders are automatically cancelled if responses are submitted.<\/li>\n<li>Up to 2 reminders can be sent automatically.<\/li>\n<li>If your selected source is either Directory or Contact list, you can also opt to schedule automated reminders for SMS invitations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Invitation Expiration Options<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Invitation-Expiration-Options.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set invitations to expire at intervals based on hours, days, weeks, or months from the original invitation.<\/li>\n<li>Use this feature when the project will remain active but the invitation should not.<\/li>\n<li>Expiration dates can be viewed and modified from Track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">If automatic reminders are scheduled for a set of invitations, the invitations cannot be expired before the reminders are sent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"section-3\">Keyword-Based Unsubscribe Prompt<\/h2>\n<p>The Keyword-Based Unsubscribe Prompt is an optional feature that allows recipients to unsubscribe from SMS survey invitations by replying with a simple keyword like \u201cSTOP.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how this works:<\/p>\n<p>Your survey invitation messages can include two types of unsubscribe prompts, automatically applied based on the recipient&#8217;s region and local SMS regulations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Code-Based Unsubscribe Prompt<\/strong>: Shown to contacts in regions where replying with a keyword like STOP is not supported due to regulatory or technical limitations. Recipients will see a unique unsubscribe link in the message instead of a keyword-based instruction.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keyword-Based Unsubscribe Prompt<\/strong>: Shown to contacts in countries or networks that allow \u201cSTOP\u201d or similar replies to opt out of SMS messages. These contacts can simply reply with \u201cSTOP\u201d to unsubscribe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Note: This feature is available only in accounts set up with dedicated phone numbers. Please talk to your account manager for details.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>How to Enable this Setting<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you have enabled a dedicated From Phone Number functionality in your account, the system automatically determines which type of unsubscribe prompt to include, based on the recipient&#8217;s country and carrier compatibility.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enable keyword-based unsubscribe prompts for supported regions.<\/li>\n<li>Allow the system to fallback automatically to a code-based unsubscribe link where keyword replies are not supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Good to know: <\/strong>Not all countries or carriers support keyword-based unsubscribe replies.
