When surveying, you may already have relevant data from your contacts. You can include this background information in your reports data without even having to ask the questions. This option will be pre-selected if your survey already contains a Pre-Populated question. Click on Continue to proceed.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the data manually for the questions to be Pre-Populated. Enter data for each individual by selecting the option from the dropdown or by typing in the textbox.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/R30.2.z11.png\"><\/li>\n<li>Click on Continue<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>From a File <\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Under Additional Publishing Options, choose Pre-Populate Questions. Download all the blanks and mismatches to review.<\/li>\n<li> Based on your source type, you can either go back and re-upload the reviewed file or go to Contact Lists to change values.<\/li>\n<li> As appropriate, you may choose to continue and publish with any blanks and\/or mismatched data.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"section-2\">To generate <strong>Single-Use Passwords for a project with Pre-Population<\/strong>, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create a new project or edit an existing one.<\/li>\n<li>First, apply pre-population to your questions. <a href=\"\/help\/how-to-apply-data-population\/#section-1\">Learn more<\/a> about how to set up your questions for Pre-Population.\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">If you do not apply Pre-Population within Design, you will not see Pre-Population options within Distribute<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click on Distribute from the menu bar.<\/li>\n<li>In the Offline\/SMS column on the right, select Survey Passwords and click Continue.<\/li>\n<li>Select Single-Use Passwords.\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">Pre-Population is not available for Multi-Use Passwords.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Choose to use an existing Contact List or upload a file of custom passwords.\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\"><i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">You cannot pre-populate for randomly generated passwords.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you have questions set for Pre-Population, Pre-Populate Questions will be selected.<\/li>\n<li>Map the question to the answer column in your Contact List.
