You may create within Filter Manager or during the report generation process. This section describes the process of creating a filter within Filter Manager.<\/p>\n

Create Filter<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Select your project and click on Report.<\/li>\n
  2. On the Report menu bar, click on Filter Manager.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on \u2018Create New Filter\u2019.<\/li>\n
  4. Under Add Condition, select the question, the condition, and then the answer option that will define the filter.
    \nClick on Add Condition.<\/li>\n
  5. To add another condition, select another question and follow the steps above.<\/li>\n
  6. Once all conditions are added, set the filter logic.<\/li>\n
      \n
    1. Match all Conditions:<\/strong> This filter requires that every<\/u> condition be satisfied.
      \n
      \n For example:<\/span>If the conditions are C1, C2, and C3, the logic is \u2018C1 AND C2 AND C3\u2019. This script will only filter responses in which all conditions are present.<\/span>\n <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Match any Conditions:<\/strong> This filter requires that any<\/u> condition be satisfied.
      \n
      \n For example:<\/span>If the conditions are C1, C2, and C3, the logic is \u2018C1 OR C2 OR C3\u2019. This script will only filter those responses in which at least one condition is present.<\/span>\n <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Use Custom Combination of Conditions:<\/strong> To create a custom combination of conditions, define the filter as a rule, including keywords (AND, OR, NOT,),brackets and condition names (e.g. C1, C2).
      \n
      \n For example:<\/span>To include C1 and either C2 or C3, write \u2018C1 AND (C2 OR C3)\u2019.<\/span>\n <\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    4. When you are done, save your filter. Clicking on Save or Save & Go To Filter Manager will open a pop-up to allow you to name the filter. Provide a clear and distinguishing name, especially if you are planning to create more than one filter for the same project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Edit Filter<\/h2>\n
        \n
      1. Select your project and click on Report.<\/li>\n
      2. On the Report menu bar, click on Filter Manager.<\/li>\n
      3. Select the Filter and click on View\/Edit.<\/li>\n
      4. Review all your previously created conditions for this filters.<\/li>\n
      5. Hover over a condition and click the pencil icon on the right side to edit the condition.<\/li>\n
      6. Once you are done editing, click on Save or Save & Go To Filter Manager. While saving, a pop-up will appear to allow you to modify the filter name.<\/li>\n
      7. Save & Overwrite:<\/strong> This will save your existing filter with the modifications.<\/li>\n
      8. Save as New:<\/strong> Enter the new title of the filter and click Save. This will save your modifications as a new filter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Copy Filter<\/h2>\n
          \n
        1. Select your project and click on Report.<\/li>\n
        2. On the Report menu bar, click on Filter Manager.<\/li>\n
        3. Select the Filter and click on Copy. The filter will be copied successfully and ready to use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Delete Filter<\/h2>\n
            \n
          1. Select your project and click on Report.<\/li>\n
          2. On the Report menu bar, click on Filter Manager.<\/li>\n
          3. Select the Filter and click on Delete.<\/li>\n
          4. Click OK to confirm your choice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Use Filter<\/h2>\n

            As an example, let\u2019s apply a filter we created to a Bar Graph Report.<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Create a filter in Filter Manager using the steps above.<\/li>\n
            2. Select your project and click on Report.<\/li>\n
            3. On the Report menu bar, choose your preferred report type.<\/li>\n
            4. Select the questions to be included in the report.<\/li>\n
            5. Rearrange the order of questions as needed for the best presentation of data.<\/li>\n
            6. Select your preferred report properties, including display of percentages and more.<\/li>\n
            7. Finally, on the \u2018Select Filter\u2019 step, select \u2018Yes\u2019 in response to \u2018Do you want to apply a filter on this report?\u2019. Then, choose your filter from the dropdown menu.<\/li>\n
            8. Continue through the wizard to generate the report. Review the report and the applied filter, modifying as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
