Each sub-user has their own login, and you can set permissions, apply Data Visibility Rules, and configure workflow approvals based on their role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-help-sub-head\">Navigate to<\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"sogo-help-sub-list\">\r\n    <li><a href=\"#section-1\">Buying Sub-User Licenses<\/a><\/li>\r\n    <li><a href=\"#section-2\">Creating a new Sub-User<\/a><\/li>\r\n    <li><a href=\"#section-3\">Change the User Type <\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\n<h2 id=\"section-1\">Buying Sub-User Licenses<\/h2>\n<p>Before creating a sub-user, check how many licenses you have available.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click your account initials in the top right corner and choose <strong>Account Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <strong>User Management<\/strong> from the bottom of the menu on the left.<\/li>\n<li>Review your available licenses in the Sub-User Summary at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>If you need more, click <strong>Buy More Users<\/strong> and enter the number of sub-accounts you&#8217;d like to add.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Pay Now<\/strong>.\n<li>You&#8217;ll be redirected to the Billing page. Enter your details and click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the Confirmation page, click <strong>Submit<\/strong> to proceed. Once the transaction is successful, click <strong>Continue to your account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The new sub-accounts are added to your account, and the updated count appears in the summary cards at the top of the User Management page.<\/li>\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\">\n    <i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"sogo-info-text\">\n        If you do not wish to make the payment immediately, you can choose the <strong>Pay Later<\/strong> option. Using this option, the requested number of sub-accounts will be added to your account instantly. An invoice for the purchase will be sent to you, which can be paid at your earliest convenience.\n    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"section-2\">Creating a new Sub-User<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>On the User Management page, click <strong>Create New Sub-User<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the sub-user&#8217;s details: User ID, First Name, Last Name, Job Title, and Email Address.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>User Type<\/strong> from the following:\n<ol style=\"list-style: lower-alpha;\">\n<li><strong>Sub-user:<\/strong> The default option. The user gets module-level permissions assigned by the admin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sub-user (Admin):<\/strong> The user gets full platform access with administrator rights.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Report Viewer:<\/strong> A read-only user with access to dashboards and directories only. Survey creation and administrative modules are not available.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Allocate the number of projects this user can create, or select <strong>Unlimited<\/strong>.\n<div class=\"sogo-help-info-box\">\n    <i class=\"fal fa-info-circle\"><\/i><\/p>\n<div class=\"sogo-info-text\">\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Project Allocation<\/strong> field is hidden for Report Viewer accounts, as they do not have permission to create projects.<\/li>\n<li>The allocated project limit is deducted from the overall project limit of the parent admin account. For example, if the parent account has a limit of 1000 projects and 500 projects are allocated to a sub-user account, the remaining limit for the parent admin account will be 500 projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<li>Choose whether to send the activation email immediately or at a later time. If you choose not to send it right away, you can later use the <strong>Send Activation Email<\/strong> option available on the User Management Dashboard.<\/li>\n<li>Set the <strong>Expiry Date<\/strong> for the sub-user&#8217;s access.<\/li>\n<li>\nSelect the <strong>Platform<\/strong> whose access you want to give to this user from the dropdown. You can choose from the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Core:<\/strong> Provides access to the Sogo Core survey platform only.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Connect:<\/strong> Provides access to the Sogo Connect ticketing platform only.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Core\/Connect:<\/strong> Provides access to both the Sogo Core and Sogo Connect platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>, or <strong>Save &amp; Go Back<\/strong> to return to the User Management page.<\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/UM1.gif\"\/>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"section-3\">Change the User Type <\/h2>\n<p>\nIf a team member\u2019s role changes, you can edit the sub-user account and update the <strong>User Type<\/strong> at any time.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTo do this, go to the <strong>User Management Dashboard<\/strong> and select the sub-user whose user type you want to change. Then click <strong>Edit<\/strong>. On the <strong>Edit User Details<\/strong> page, update the <strong>User Type<\/strong> as needed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nWhen you change the user type, the available permission areas are adjusted automatically. Similarly, for <strong>Report Viewer<\/strong> user types, modules that do not apply to Report Viewers are automatically hidden once the user type is changed.\n<\/p>\n<h3>Good to Know:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>After creating a sub-user, remember to assign permissions. You&#8217;ll see a reminder on the Add User Details page.<\/li>\n<li>You can update project allocation any time under <strong>Project Allocation<\/strong> in <strong>Account Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As your team grows, you can add sub-users to your Sogolytics account.
