Your choice of Display Mode plays a key role supporting both your data collection and engagement goals. Want to make it easier to keep things moving? Focus Mode helps your participants go with the flow. Want to allow participants to see the big picture and think things through? Classic Mode offers greater visibility and control over navigation.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to make your choice:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create or open a project.<\/li>\n<li>From the Design menu bar, click on Visual Settings.<\/li>\n<li>Under Display Mode on the left panel, make your choice:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Classic Mode<\/strong><br \/>\nThis traditional option allows participants to choose when to scroll to answer the next question.\n <\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/preview.png\"><\/p>\n<li><strong>Focus Mode<\/strong><br \/>\nWith this mode enabled, participants focus on one question at a time instead of seeing the whole page at once.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/focus.gif\"><\/p>\n<ol>\n<p>Additional customizations within Focus Mode:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/TS19.png\"><\/p>\n<li>Review and set spacing between questions.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/TS20.png\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Comfortable<\/strong> displays questions with slightly more space between.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/TT14.gif\"><\/li>\n<li><strong>Compact<\/strong> displays questions with less space between.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/TT15.gif\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Choose whether to advance questions automatically or manually. No matter your choice, participants will still be able to navigate normally, by mouse, scroll bar, etc.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Automatic<\/strong> shifts focus immediately to the next question when a single-select question is answered.
