Don\u2019t leave your customers and colleagues hanging! Plan for customers to be taken care of by someone else or notified of when you will return.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The User:<\/strong> If you\u2019ll be unavailable for a period of time and are a Team Owner of any Interest Areas, you should definitely set up your Out of Office status. This way, customers who submit a Dialogue into your Interest Area will either have an active user responding to their message\u202for a clear understanding as to why they will receive a response later than expected.\u202f Within the platform, your Username will also appear with an Out of Office label, so that other users know not to assign Dialogues to you while you are unavailable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Methods:<\/strong> You may choose to assign a Temporary Owner to your Interest Areas during your absence\u202for choose to set up an Automatic Email Response. \u202fAs a best practice, we recommend choosing a Temporary Owner when you will be unavailable for a long period of time. If you\u2019ll be gone for just a few days, then an Email Response can suffice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/SC3.1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate\u202fto the\u202f<strong>Settings<\/strong>, then\u202f<strong>Out of Office<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enable <strong>Out of Office<\/strong> by toggling the switch to show\u202f<strong>On<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the start and end dates of your absence.<\/li>\n<li>Below you will find every Interest Area for which you are a Team Owner.<\/li>\n<li>Next to each Interest Area, select one of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Assign temporary owner.<\/li>\n<li>Set to auto reply email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you choose\u202f<strong>Assign temporary owner<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>You may switch ownership temporarily to another\u202fTeam Member of the Interest Area.<\/li>\n<li>You may switch ownership temporarily to a user who does not belong to the Interest Area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/SC3.2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<li>If you choose\u202f<strong>Set to auto reply email:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Click\u202f<strong>Edit email<\/strong>\u202fto customize your email with an appropriate message.<\/li>\n<li>Dialogues received in this Interest Area will not age while you are scheduled to be out of the office.<\/li>\n<li>You have the option of saving the crafted message as the Default Auto Reply Email.<\/li>\n<li>Click Save once you are done.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/SC3.3.png\" \/><\/p>\n<li>Once you have identified a method for all Interest Areas, click Save at the top right-hand corner to apply your Out of Office status.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now head out and relax, knowing that you\u2019re covered.
