Hovering over any data point shows response counts and percentage distribution for each sentiment, along with percentage change compared to the previous time period.<\/p>\n<p>The three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the widget has the following options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Calculation:<\/b> There are two types of calculation methods available:\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li><b>Cumulative:<\/b> Cumulative refers to a calculation method where data is aggregated over time, meaning each data point includes all previous data up to that point.<\/li>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span><br \/>\nJanuary: 100 responses, 80 positive \u2192 80%<br \/>\nFebruary: 50 responses, 30 positive<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Cumulative for positive responses till February is,<\/p>\n<p>Total responses = 150<br \/>\nTotal positive = 110<br \/>\nPositive % = 73.3%<\/p>\n<p>So, February reflects January + February combined, not just February alone.<\/span>\n  <\/div>\n<li><b>Non-cumulative:<\/b>  Each point on the graph represents values collected within that specific time range only (e.g., that day, week, or month).<\/li>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span><br \/>\nJanuary: 20 positive responses<br \/>\nFebruary: 30 positive responses<br \/>\nThe chart will show 20 and 30 separately, with no carryover from earlier months.<\/span>\n  <\/div>\n<\/ol>\n<li><b>Graph type:<\/b> This option allows you to change the graph type of this widget. You can click any word in the cloud to drill down into the associated responses and further explore related sentiment, themes, and emotions. It also displays Response Sentiment and Responses associated to that word. The three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the widget provides access to the following options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Word type:<\/strong> This option allows you to display either of the two Themes or Emotions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Word Count:<\/strong> This option allows you decide how many words should be displayed in the Word Cloud. You can select any number between 1 to 70.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Refresh Data:<\/strong> This option allows you to refresh the data of this widget.<\/li>\n<li><b>Share:<\/b> This option allows you to share access to the real-time data displayed in the widget. When you click <b>Share<\/b>, a unique link is generated that can be copied and shared with others. You can update the sentiment of a response using the dropdown in the Sentiment column. The three-dot menu allows column customization, sharing, downloading, or refreshing data. This widget can be downloaded as a PDF or an XLSX file.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/EXTA6.png\" \/>\n<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 id=\"section-2\">Theme Analysis<\/h2>\n<p> Theme Analysis identifies recurring topics discussed in open-ended responses by analyzing language patterns and detecting common keywords and phrases. These topics, known as <strong>themes<\/strong>, help organizations understand what respondents are talking about most frequently. In addition to identifying themes, the report also detects the <strong>emotions<\/strong> associated with those themes. While themes indicate the subject being discussed, emotions reveal how respondents feel about that subject. <\/p>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span> Consider the following response: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p> &#8220;The documentation was easy to follow, but the response time from support was too slow. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, although the delays were frustrating.&#8221; <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> From this response, the system may identify: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Themes:<\/strong> Documentation, Response Time<\/li>\n<li><strong>Emotions:<\/strong> Satisfaction, Frustration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> In this example, the themes represent the topics being discussed, while the emotions represent the respondent&#8217;s feelings toward those topics. Larger circles represent themes that appear more frequently across responses. Clicking on any circle from the pack chart allows you to drill down further regarding that particular theme. It displays the Emotion and theme word cloud associated with that word along with its Response Sentiment and associated Responses.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span>If respondents frequently mention issues related to billing support, troubleshooting, or escalation processes, these themes may appear in the Negative Themes chart, helping identify areas that require attention.<\/span>\n  <\/div><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/EX_TA8.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"theme-positive\">Positive Themes<\/h3>\n<p>Displays themes that are most frequently associated with positive feedback using a Pack Chart. Larger circles represent themes that appear more frequently across responses.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span>If respondents frequently praise communication, documentation, or responsiveness, these themes may appear in the Positive Themes chart, highlighting organizational strengths and successful experiences.<\/span>\n  <\/div><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/EX_TA9.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"theme-word-cloud\">Theme Word Cloud<\/h3>\n<p>Displays all identified themes in a Word Cloud. The size of each word corresponds to how frequently that theme appears within the analyzed responses.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span>If <strong>Communication<\/strong>, <strong>Documentation<\/strong>, and <strong>Mobile Experience<\/strong> are displayed in a larger font than other themes, it indicates that these topics were discussed more frequently by respondents.<\/span>\n  <\/div><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/EX_TA11.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"theme-emotion-word-cloud\">Emotion Word Cloud<\/h3>\n<p>Displays the emotions detected across all analyzed responses in a Word Cloud. The size of each emotion corresponds to how frequently it appears within the feedback.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example-block-container blue-shade\">\n        <span class=\"example-block-content\"><span class=\"example-block-header\">For example:<\/span>If <strong>Satisfaction<\/strong> appears as the largest emotion, it indicates that many respondents expressed positive feelings in their feedback. If you believe any sentiment or topic has been categorized incorrectly, you can update it manually. Sentiment can be modified using the dropdown menu next to the sentiment score in the response table. Additional topics can also be added from the system-generated predefined list by clicking <strong>Add Topic<\/strong>. To learn more about this option, please contact your account manager or reach out to our <a href=\"mailto:support1@sogolytics.com\">Customer Support<\/a> team.\n  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"section-4\">Filters<\/h2>\n<p>The controls at the top of the Text Analysis tabs let you refine the data shown across the <strong>Open-Ended Responses<\/strong>, <strong>Theme Analysis<\/strong>, and <strong>Text Classification<\/strong> views.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mta-date\">All Time Filter<\/h3>\n<p>The date range filter, located in the top-left corner, controls the time period for which data is displayed. By default it is set to <strong>All Time<\/strong>, and the exact date range currently in effect is shown next to the dropdown (for example, <em>1\/13\/2025 \u2013 6\/18\/2026<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Click the dropdown to choose from the available preset ranges, including All Time, Today, Yesterday, Last 24 hours, This Week, Last Week, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, This Month, Last Month, Last 30 days, This Quarter, Last Quarter, Last 90 days, Last 180 days, This Year, Last Year, Last 12 Months, Custom(define your own start and end dates).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/ATEX1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mta-metric\">Metric Filter<\/h3>\n<p>The metric filter, labeled <strong>All Metric<\/strong> by default, lets you focus the analysis on feedback collected from specific metric (follow-up) questions in your project. Click the dropdown to see the full list of available metrics, each with a checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>Use the checkboxes to include or exclude individual metrics, or select <strong>Select All<\/strong> to choose every metric at once. The controls at the bottom of the dropdown work as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Apply:<\/strong> Saves your selection and updates all widgets on the tab to show only the chosen metrics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reset:<\/strong> Clears your current selection and returns the filter to its default state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/mex1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mta-filters\">Filters<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>filter icon<\/strong> in the top-right corner opens the <strong>Create Filters<\/strong> panel, where you can build more detailed conditions to segment your feedback. Filters can be combined to drill down into specific groups of responses across all Text Analysis widgets.<\/p>\n<p>You can filter by the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Projects:<\/strong> Displays responses collected through the selected project(s).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Activity Fields:<\/strong> Displays responses associated with records that match the selected activity field criteria.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Respondents:<\/strong> Displays responses submitted by the selected respondent(s).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feedback Recipients:<\/strong> Displays responses associated with the selected feedback recipient(s).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tags:<\/strong> Displays responses associated with the selected tag(s).<\/li>\n<li><strong>NLP Conditions:<\/strong> Displays responses submitted only for the specified NLP Condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Select a category to define its conditions, then apply the filter to update the dashboard.
