How to Run Survey Reports in Sogolytics

This is the first in a 3-part series to help you get started with running survey reports in Sogolytics.

It’s very easy to run survey reports with our wizard-driven software. In many cases, you can generate a report with one click.

You don’t have to go through all the steps in the wizard. Just follow as many as you need to get the data you want.

Bar Graph

The bar graph is a great place to start to get a quick snapshot of your data. Follow these steps to run the report:

Go to Run a Report and select your survey.
Select Bar Graph from the Frequency drop down menu.
Select which questions you want displayed in your report.
Click Generate Report.

Customize

Each report can be customized to meet your needs. Just click on the Basic link in the upper right corner, and click Advanced to see the customization options. You can:

Change it into a pie chart, bubble chart, area chart, or other options
Change the color scheme
Make it three dimensional
Display statistics
Change all the charts in your report to the settings you’ve selected by clicking Make all charts similar to this
Add notes to your report by clicking Add Commentary in the upper left

Save

Be sure to click Save at the top right. This allows you to save your customization settings and quickly access or modify your reports in the future.

To access your saved reports:

Go to Run a Report and select the Saved Reports sub-tab.
Select your report and click Generate Report to get the most current results.
Click Modify Report to make any changes.

Export and Share

At the bottom of each report, you can:

Export the report to Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
Email a dynamic report link

When you email a report link, each time someone clicks on the link, it provides them with the most up-to-date responses for your survey. You can even customize the email content and look and feel when you send a report link. (Remember to set a report link expiration date if you want to limit access to the report.)
